Sailors with some previous experience should have little difficulty handling the Bermudan rigged yachts from the fleet after the comprehensive handover in the yard, including how to rig the yacht and lower the mast.

For those who have not sailed on the Broads before, introductory instruction can also be booked on the first afternoon of the holiday, at a charge of £12 per hour. The instruction includes a sail on the river to demonstrate basic sailing manouevres and handling under engine.

The duration can be extended at an hourly rate if further confidence building is necessary.

"Taste Of Sailing"

For anyone who has never sailed before, a "Taste of Sailing" day is available via our association with the Norfolk Broads School of Sailing.

This day provides the opportunity to experience the thrill of cabin yacht sailing under the watchful eye of an experienced instructor. You will be shown how to rig and handle the yacht and will be able to take control for some simple manoeuvres.
